Well...
writing first thing in the morning may be what's causing me to sound so depressed. It's a habit (journaling) that I picked up from Julia Cameron, author of "The Artist's Way". Maybe I'll write later in the evening. First thing in the morning is to dump out the negativity so I can get to the positive sooner. Lot's of affirmations to remember. Talking about work, I know I 'prefer' to work with things more than people, I love to analyze things, improve things, repair things. Now I'll have to understand how this affects my graduate studies in counseling. One person at a time is no problem, group activity can get off-topic and focus too easily. I like to get things done and over with. Achieve things, not waste time. Boredom is a personal threat for some reason, unlesss I am determined to achieve something by waiting for someone else to do their job. I'm a 'Do-er', I get things done. Usually by myself. I'm very methodical, giving thought to each phase, being stringently orderly to maximize production efficiency. My method works for me, I've had success with it. Sales ans other's opinions cause me more trouble, especially with people who think speed is everything, I believe it's called impatience. One thing from yesterday's thoughts, I may have to find something to sell that already exists, rather than continue doing what I'm doing, remodeling and repair. Some people have trouble with visualizing how things will look when they're finished, which is not like their dream. It causes them to be unhappy...but not my problem. It seems I really allow others to upset my emotions when they are upset; probably a codep thing I need to learn to let go of. It's probably why I'm bad at sales, too sympathetic for clients needs and problems rather than seeling them as a 'sale' or an insignificant 'mark', or income source. Whew! Too much to change! Time's up, gotta go.

One thing at a time Richard. One thing at a time. You are doing fine, try to be patient with yourself.
I think you are the male version of me.......Efficiency is a big thing for me and planning it out and not getting off track and not liking sales because I am too sympathetic to the customer....Take care of yourself. It will sort itself out.
