Volunteered Today
I went in to volunteer today... I only stayed a bit over an hour, but they were happy to have me for whatever time I could stay. It's hard going from standing to walking to sitting every 5 minutes. I have bad feet, so standing hurts. Walking is okay, but even that starts to hurt at the end of a long day. Sitting is okay as long as I have back support. My back has been acting up, so it's been hard with that as well. It started on Monday when I did my strength training on the floor instead of in bed like I used to. I need a yoga mat to cushion the floor. It's going to be my reward if I can stay in my calorie range daily for 5 days out of the week. That should be easy now that I don't have any money for fast food. I used my last bit for Taco Bell today because I thought I took something out for dinner but forgot. So I'm going to take out some food tonight so I don't forget in the morning, and then when I wake up just put it in the fridge.
I did double walking today... walked to work and back, as well as doing 1.25 miles walking to the main road and back. I burned enough calories to eat 1,900 calories worth of food. I only ate 1,400 instead, trying to go for a low calorie day. It's not as low as I wanted, but it's still much lower than what I could have eaten. I can't wait until I get my FitBit and I can track all the steps I take. I think I do about 5,000, so that's going to be my first goal. Then just go up from there.

good for you to go volunteer, I am sure they were so happy to see you. I have the same problem with the floor, mine is hardwood and I lay a folded throw blanket down but it is still uncomfortable, a yoga mat is a good idea. lots of walking you got in, I hope you aren\'t in much pain today. with the fit bit you will be amazed at how many steps you take, I would love one. you are doing great! hugss
I love your award choices. I too have hardwood floors and use a folded blanket for some cushioning but a mat would be so much nicer.
I also have hardwood floors... but years ago i had carpet and still couldnt do floor exercises just something about my tailbone just makes it impossible and hurts like super bad so i avoid that... ive never tried a yoga mat that might just be the key to it all hope it works for you. I cant wait till you get that fitbit Ive been wanting one for a long time but to scared to spend the money on myself if i dont know how good they work..... im sure you will journal about the good and the bad on it when you get it. Everything ive heard about them... everyone loves having one.
