Volunteering

I went volunteering today for a bit. It was nice to get out of the house and do something productive. My ankle is almost totally healed, so I can get out and walk. last night I went for a walk, and today I was walking all over the clinic directing people. They are remodeling, so all the signs are gone. It's very confusing to the patients, so I walk them to where they need to go. I did over 6,100 steps today. I went on Spark People to update my profile (I'm back on Spark People after being with My Fitness Pal for like 6 months) and they said I need 1,600 calories a day! My Fitness Pal wanted me doing 1,300. Maybe I will start losing weight and get my body out of starvation mode. I was looking in a box for some candy that I lost and I found 3 bars of Lindt 70% chocolate that was still good! I love that stuff. When I worked at the airline they would bring boxes of it to the office, and when I got fired I had over 10 bars of the 70% chocolate. I found a couple of those boxes today. I'm excited... chocolate! And the good kind of chocolate. Yay me!

My Fitness Pal is a website to track your food. Kinda the same as Spark People, but with a different way of tracking. You can set your goals to anything, while on Spark People it\'s already set for you

You\'re doing great. I also don\'t use myfitness pal because I find the calorie range too restrictive. I use fatsecret which gives me 1700 calories a day. The weight is coming off VERY slowly but it is coming off. I bet you talk to lots of people over the course of the day while volunteering and you\'re helping all of them. How great is that?

I\'m glad you found chocolate that you like. I still can\'t eat the 70%. I\'ve tried it but it\'s too strong for me. Enjoy your hidden stash (slowly). : )

Great Job with the steps. So happy your ankle is doing better and you are back to volunteering. I like sparks people to.I like that they give a low to high range of calories. I still have trouble with entering the food.

congratulations on the chocolate and best of luck with the added calories. a normal person takes in 2000 calories per day, but i don\'t remember the significance of that, i know it mattered though. lol. glad your are all healed.
