Visit to my Mom's
I'm up visiting my mom in FL for the last time... she is moving to West Virginia with her husband for a job. They are going to live in a motel for 3 months while he works there. His company is moving him there and paying for room and board. I'm going to miss her. She is going to become a nomad, her and her husband moving wherever the company wants him to go. She is going to try and get disability for her Parkinson's and rheumatoid arthritis. She is still smoking and not wanting to quit, or not able to quit. I just worry. But I'm doing good... managed to stay out of the hospital for a year now... I used to go in every year this time of year... I don't know why, but this is just a hard time of year for me, and having my mom be sick is sad. I'm trying to convince my friend Lisa to let me work for her. She's the girl I go cleaning with, but she just has me for company right now. I could use the extra money. We shall see.

it is difficult when a parent you are close to and has lived near you moves. how often will they move? was this always the case? your mom should be able to get disability with her illnesses. I am sorry to hear she is unwell, I didn\'t know to the extent. i am so proud of you for staying out of the hospital and i think it has to do with all your hard work on your mental illness and dieting and exercising. the exercising does wonders for helping the mind. i hope you can get back with lisa. hugsss

It\'s a shame your mom is moving so far away. I hope you can save money so you can go visit her and she maybe able to visit you.
You are a good friend going to work to keep her company. Maybe, she\'ll let you help in the future. Enjoy your time out .
its tricky to work for friends, you could end up losing the friendship. how about a motel or another cleaning service or a timeshare?
sorry you will miss your mom. can they take the money for the motel and then rent a normal place for 3 months? it\'d be better for them. i know someone who had to do that in tennessee, finally he rented a room or motherinlaw suite on a real house, the motel thing i guess even if its really nice gets tiresome?
