Virginia Arboretum
I didn't know that VA had a arboretum. The friend I went with had visited once before. It was a meet up, but 2 people dropped out so it was just she and I who went.
They was a wonderful iris garden. And interesting trees. there was a garden walk, we didn't go on that. There were vendors and food trucks. I had a brisket sandwich for lunch. My complaint was we had a hard time finding the exit. I called the VA arboretum and let them know. They said they are installing signage now and it should be better. The tree with the red roots is the incense plant and the other tree that has a curved branch it is a Norway Spruce. The building is the Quarters House. The VA Arboretum is part of the Univ of VA experimental garden.

I'm glad u had fun going here. It's so nice u had a brisket sandwich. It sounds delicious & I'm glad u enjoyed. I love the plant shaped as a dog with a water bowl next to it. So cute. The one tree is so big & it's so pretty there with pretty trees, mountains, plants & flowers. Tu for sharing. I'm sorry it was hard to find your way out. Lovely, I used to love to walk our local arboretum and then I injured myself and can't do all the walking. So glad you enjoyed going even if it was just you two. Sometimes two is better than a big noisy group. A brisket sandwich is one of my favorite things.
