Vintage
So I'm in a large department store when all of a sudden I see a sign saying, Vintage Jewelry. I got all excited, remembering finding some jewelry from the 1920s years ago. They were reproductions, but I've always loved anything that looked old, especially jewlery. So anyhow, I make a beeline to the sign, all the while picuturing what I would find, knowing I was definetly going to buy because when do you ever find vintage jewelry reproductions in this day and age?
And then I see the sparkling objects of my desire and my eyes glaze over because unlike the vintage I expected, I found the jewelry of my youth--there it was, love beads, mood rings, the 60s and 70s reborn. Oh, well. Guess I'll give up on finding the stuff from the 20s.

wow - modern of not so very long ago is now vintage. I\'m ready for a garage sale LOL

Signs can be deceiving. What is vintage to one person is not vintage to another person. I think of vintage from the 20s as well. To me things from the 60s and 70s is not vintage as I lived through all those things. To someone much younger than us the 60s and 70s is vintage. Oh well! Its the age thing.
I am wishing you a very merry Christmas. I am off to church this morning. Getting together with Dave and a few friends for a drink. Going back to Dave\'s place as he is doing the Christmas dinner and my brother Don will be joining us around 3 p.m. It is a small Christmas celebration. I gave Tyson his gift yesterday and he loved the toy. Lisa has to work today. Grant\'s parents are in Palm Springs for a 2 week vacation. Lisa, Grant and Tyson are stating at their place to look after the dogs. I get to stay there for four days to look after Tyson and the dogs. I am looking forward to it greatly. This Friday coming up Tyson will be coming to my place. He is such a great kid but I am the adoring grandma, what can I say.
When all is said and done, its all the good people in your life that counts.
The people that are not so good in our lives are not that important and can be let go of for our own personal sake.
