Vienna Va Cherry Blossom trip

My friend and I took a trip to Vienna VA, it's not far from where I live.  We all hear about the Cherry Blossoms at the Tidal Basin, I saw them last year.  The trees there are the Yoshino variety, they bloom early.  This year the bloom was shorter than last year.  I was told that if the leaves start to show up the blooms start to fall off.  And the leaves started to come earlier.   The other type is called the Kwanzan cherry.  There is actually one in the backyard of the house I am living in.   They bloom about a week or 2 after the Yoshinos.  Vienna VA is one place.  There was no one there, as in no crowds.  We took a walk in a beautiful neighborhood.  I hope you all enjoy my photos.   There were Dogwood trees as well and Redbuds (a misnomer since the flowers are purple not red)

My friend and I saw plenty of Tulips, in that neighborhood and in 2 other places we stopped at.  We also spotted a Pileated Woodpecker, one of the biggest species of woodpecker here in North America.  This is only the 2nd time I've seen one.

And I spotted a house that I liked a lot so I took a pic.  The homes in this neighborhood must go for multi-millions of dollars.
