Veterans Day
Please remember to thank our veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country today. Some of the people on DS have served or have family members that served. In my own family, my grand-father served in WW1, my father served in WW2 and Korea, 3 of my uncles served in WW2 and 1 of my uncles served in Korea and Vietnam.

Amen.
I forgot my aunt was a WAVE during WW2 and Korea. I tried to get into the military, but my knees were so bad, I wouldn't have passed basic.
Don't for get the Viet Nam vets. They got a raw deal. That is my generation.
My grandfather also served in WW1 and Dad in WW2. And to all those who have and continue to serve for us--- I do send a while hearted thanks as well as thoughts and prayers.
In reference to our Vietnam Vets, I agree. I remember watching Walter Cronkite reporting on how we bombed the hell out of Hanoi, the Tet Offensive, etc. It was a horrible, very violent time in world history. Whether or not we should have been there is a question only history can answer. I salute all of our vets who have served and the ones that are serving now. My son-in-law is a Marine Corps Drill Instructor.
