Very interesting day
I liked the doc a lot. She was very nice. I now have Mestinon and will be going in for 4 day inpatient IVIG if my insurance approves or we will do it outpatient probably in Green Bay, but she would prefer to be in charge for the start of treatment and when things get stable, she will refer me to a neuro for maintenance. I have her card for emergencies. She wants to get things in control. No more exercising until after I'm done with IVIG and she does not want dental work either. I am totally pooped out. I must have had such a case of nerves, cause I cannot remember being this tired. Took 1/2 tab of mestinon at 6 and just did the other half, but I need to sleep. I'm sure I have loads more, but too tired to remember. Not looking forward to the hospital before Christmas, but she wants to get things started.

So relieved you liked the neuromuscular doctor Debbie and glad you are starting the IVIG and mestinon. Inpatient is best. It isn\'t the best timing but maybe it really is so you will be good during Christmas and through the new year. Someone up there is getting you to slow down one way or the other, lol! None of us need to end up in crisis over the holidays.
IVIG is nice in that you can usually have it done in your hometown. We have an infusion center and I went there. I sure do miss the ease of staying in town but if driving to Dallas keeps me feeling this good, then I\'ll do the Plex.
How far is this doctor? Are you going to keep seeing her? I find it\'s worth the drive.
Hopefully you will soon be feeling stronger!
Happy Holidays and hugs!

So good to hear you are moving forward with your treatment, Debbie. Sounds like you have a good neuromuscular doctor who wants to get you on the right track. I will be thinking of you and praying everything works out, so you can enjoy Christmas.
Love, Cathy
My doctor is in Milwaukee, a 2-1/2 hour drive. I will do the inpatient with her team and then hopefully start outpatient locally. The new neuro I will be working with will be in Green Bay, a 30 minute drive. I knew you would all rejoice with me.
This has made my day!! I am so happy for you. The drive is worth it when you have confidence in the doctor.Praying that you and your family will have a blessed Christmas.I know the area. My brother lived in navarino.
Yes, I am on the north shore of Shawano Lake, in the Mooseyard. I love it here, but hate the winters.
Yes, yes, rejoice, rejoice!!
(ps...I can\'t even imagine such winters!)
So much good news grandchildren a doctor who recognizes and cares--maybe I will even be able to stop fussing, but we are who we are! ;-)
Lots of love and Congratulations! b.
