notions from the mental ocean
I truly believe that in the face of managing our lives, we develop different ways and however each of us may do it, I believe also part of citizenship in the human race, ought to be the pratice of stepping outside of that daily managing.
Though the grimness of life while we manage on our own lives can seem to be at times as ourselves 'contra mundi' I also believe we ought to be responsible for the globe, our society, our ecology and do things that are not just of our self interest but do things to help others and stand for something greater than 'getting mine when I can.'
I'm going to look for some way to double play my role as priest in this community. I may do some outreach of some kind
to invite more people to St. Nina's. Or maybe i will do some volunteer work that a priest can do in the adjacent community or just as me as myself can do.
It’s wild. I am realizing too that biologically I’m not put together as well as I could be ( wing neurologically atypical)
but I also am appreciating my good qualities. In life we hope to be born with strengths and intelligence and good looks, if you do it is like hitting the lottery! I am knowing my strengths and weaknesses and my pursuits in life will not be at the expense of or the eclipsing of others but of the recognition of what I can do as well and I’m grateful!
I'm also thinking about making art. Art is is a communication and that means expressing yourself in the world standing solo.
It can be a heady and daunting exprience. But in a sense we are all artists - experimenting as youngsters and then as adults
finding our identity as to what our lexicon in life is. What things we grab hold to that supports our comfort zone both publicly and or privately and look for in spoken and unspoken terms.
Personally, I like talking about like ideas and in the future of doing art I need to talk myself through it as a conversation to deal with the emotions, the fears and the pain and sensitivity at exposure.
Looking at my own childhood and life experiences I can see why i moved forward in
Looking at my own childhood and life experiences I can see why i moved forward in
a certain direction mentally and subject wise as well as developmentally.
For me when I am alone at night with Blue I know I NEED to find someone to talk to because If I don’t find someone to talk about things my mind can really misbehave and create trouble for myself.
In terms of my own art, again I just wanted to say again that I find I am introducing a new personal lexicon for people to experience or a new way of how to interpret things. It's a process to finding that common ground between me and them and each other and in some essential
sense, contact and communication.
