People who don't live here are always saying how great they think it is.
Vegas sucks. I don't drink or gamble and that is what is encouraged here.
The landscape is dry and barren, Seattle was lush and green. I miss it.
People say how cool it must be to go to shows and casinos, but I never go to those things. I could never afford to. And I'd hate going alone anyway. But my inability to go out prevents me from making new friends. Truth is I don't really want new friends. I've had too many bad experiences with people in this town.

I have to get through the next 3-4 months of hellish weather, 110-117 outside and I have to walk to work in it. I get to work drenched in sweat, it's so embarrassing.

could you leave vegas by considering getting new job in new town? I know it sucks to walk in heat...it just sucks to walk....I have never had to walk to work...took bus to school for few years had to walk to bus stop about mile away...consider looking for the new job? I guess we are as happy as we can be or want to be if we do not reach outside our boxes....

Yep I don\'t much like Vegas either or Phoenix for the most part , Hot here too , every thing is brown and dry.
Any plans or dreams of heading back to Seattle ? Never been there but it sounds awesome ! Hugs

I used to live in El Paso, I know what you mean, summers can be sweltering. I can see being a resident would be difficult. It would be live living in Atlantic City. There are a bunch of drunk people who don\'t live there.
I hate the desert also...and Vegas just seemed like a cess pool to me..adverts for Kiddie parks, along side guys hawking strip clubs...it just never looked right to me
I wish I could find someplace affordable , cool and green ...if you find someplace like that, clue me in !
