VACATIONS

Vacation used to be a luxury, but in today's world it has become a necessity.  ~Author Unknown   I don’t think there has ever been a truer statement than this quote. We live in such a hectic world. Everything is at such a fast pace. With all of our modern conveniences you would think our lives would be more relaxed than those who lived 60 or so years ago. But the truth is we work harder and many more hours and take fewer vacations. Is it any wonder that stress is such a factor in everyone’s’ life. So I am off this Friday for another week of sun and fun in the Dominican. Hopefully, the weather is as nice as it was before. This time we are hoping to go horseback riding into the mountains. I sure am glad that my back is okay now. Some people asked how I hurt my back. The short version...stupidity!! I have a new piece of exercise equipment. It is called the “Abdoer Twist”. It is a super machine. I was doing the beginner sessions for a week or so. Then on Saturday I had a brilliant idea...not!! I decided after my regular routine to go and try the much, much harder intermediate routine. Huge mistake!! Of course, I could not just take it slow and at my own pace, that would have required some common sense which at that moment eluded me. Oh, no, I tried to keep up with the pros and voila a pulled back muscle. Remember when I took the tumble down the deck stairs last winter and really hurt my back on the right side. Well, it was the same side that I pulled. I probably have a weak spot there. Anyway, I am healed and have learned a lesson. Anyway, to all my friends, I hope to be on here at least once more before I go. However, if I don’t get here I will be thinking about you. Be well. Debbie

Ok pretty in pink sent you a hug and forgot to shame you for over doing it. Maybe I did though. If I don\'t talk to you before be sure and go horse back riding. Naomi xo
