Update re dialysis with no kidneys
Dialysis is still a struggle. The sessions are getting better, although lying still for 4 hours with no interest in reading or watching telly is no mean feat. Oh anf the travelling and waiting around for transport is getting monotonous. Anyway had a bit of good news- they are moving me to local dialysis centre providing I have my own transport. This should ahpen just after New Year so I have been driving short distances to make sure I will be capable of driving myself. Obviously any days where I dont feel well my husband or gorls will take me, and after dialsyis if I donlt feel well my mum and dad just luve around the corner.

That is wonderful news about going to a closer center. Why didn\'t you start there or is that decision out of your hands? I couldn\'t deal with the travel and waiting around any better than you. I am not that patient. Having been dyalized in the past, (with one kidney) I can appreciate what you are saying
about lying still for so long. I don\'t remember the pain after but I was still lying in a hospital bed not walking at that time. I really think your outlook on all of this will change once you do this closer to home. And you have your family support group ready to help you. This waiting game is starting to get on my nerves. I am not passing water as much as I did before and I feel a distinct pain under my right shoulder blade in the lung area. I see my Primary doctor in the first week of January and he may order an x ray. I don\'t have my calendar in front of me but I see my Oncologist after the tests on the 17th or 18th. Hopefully nothing has changed and increased in size but, honestly, that would surprise me the way I am feeling. Just have to pray harder. I think your driving short distances will do wonders for your mind and mood. Good for you. I think of you and pray for you always. Be sure to keep us informed. We care.
dear Julie, you are a true fighter. I am glad you will be getting your treatment nearer home. It makes such a difference doesn\'t it? I have to travel to see my oncologist but my grandaughter usually takes me along with other members of the family. If I feel up to it we call on the way home for a meal which we enjoy. My ct scans, blood tests etc. are at my local hospital so it\'s not so bad. My thoughts and best wishes are with you. Blessings, Nita x
Thank you so much for your kind comments. I can;t believe I made so many typos in my update and it stops so abruptly. The reason for this is that my laptop was shutting down so I just quickly posted it. Andreacha I hope ther is no change in size- pleas elet me know once you have had your appointment. I ahve my fingers crossed for you. Nita - what a lovely idea having a family outing to see your oncologist- not only to you get to have a nice family meal afterwards but you also have a lot of support if you need it.
