Update on ME

Well I had a scare today.  Let me first tell you a little bit about my situation.
1.  I have mental health problems.  Mostly anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and mood swings.
2.  I am on adult probation for retail theft (I know I'm bad) that I did in one a moment of bad mood and poor choice.
3.  I am given random urine tests for drugs.
4.  I am on anti-depressants for my condition.
So, that being said, today I was given a drug test on the court house and somehow someway I showed up positive for Benzos!!!  Amazingly she decided against locking me up in prison and put me in a more extreme drugs testing program.  So I get out of there and rush to the library so I can Google the anti-depressants I am on and see if any of them have a history of showing up falsely for Benzos.  I have been taking Paxil, Risperidal, and Wellbutrin.

I read that sometimes anti-depressants do show up as a false positive for certain drugs like Benzos or Amphetamines.  So now I am forced to make the decision of going off my medication because I can't afford to go back to prison.  However when I take my medication I feel better.  I asked her while I was there if anything like this was possible of happening or heard of, and she assured me that NO anti-depressants won't EVER show up as anything false like certain narcotics.  I find this to be BS and believe she is uneducated on the matter and just thinking she knows everything told me that because I did multiple searches on Google and found more than just one link from well documented and professional websites that say it can and DOES happen.
I am pissed.  This is my life.  I am trying to be a good Christian and get my life together and nothing is seeming to work out.  I have a lot of problems but this is the latest.
I guess I have no choice but to go back off of the medication.  Maybe this is God's will for me.  I don't know anymore really.

Talk to the prescribing physician & enlist his help.
Do not just stop taking any medication with out your Dr\'s guidance.
Those drug tests are fluky. Many people have been snagged by them & they weren\'t breaking probation. The mix of meds may be the culprit. Please, call your Dr.
