update on Lorraine
Just a quick note. She saw the surgeon yesterday and now has a surgery date - Wednesday! She is so relieved not to have to wait until August! She will have at least the lower lobe removed. They will take a biopsy of the middle lobe - if the lesion is cancer (it may be scar tissue) they will do a wedge resection or remove the whole middle lobe.
I told her that a lot of people were praying for her. She said she appreciated every prayer she gets!

This is the 1st time in my life I have heard of someone else getting a \"wedge resection\"...32+ years ago, I had a wedge resection done of my ovaries. They removed 1/2 of one and 1/3 of the other. I was very fertile for approx. one year and that is how I came to have my son, Jason. Prayers are in my book for Lorraine.
