Update

I haven't spent real time here in years. I was remembering today how helpful it was at one time, a long time ago, when I had friends to interact with and share with and listen to.  So much has changed since then. My children are grown. At that time I was just starting my menopause, which seems to be almost over. My husband and I are less in trouble than we were then, so there has been some progress, but still much to learn and fix. Still, we stayed, we never got divorced.

I gained more weight from being self-isolated and sedentary. I am changing my habits to hopefully live longer to see grandchildren of which there are none yet. I started going to church again, oddly the church from my childhood where I said I would never return. I think God led me back there because it's been so helpful and things fall into place much like a puzzle. Some of my mother's generation are still there. Many are widows. A few older than that even are there, in fact our largest part of the memberships is 60-90+. Yes, 90+, some very healthy people there. I have joined a couple of Bible study groups and helped out in the kitchen. Sometimes I don't show up because I am still dealing with my social anxiety. But if I miss a week, I tend to be there the following week. Definite progress.

That's all I want to write right now but I will journal the rest later, especially about my children.

Hello Sue - not been on DS for a long time. But been thinking about you and wondering how you are. This sounds like a lovely and positive post. Hope things have continued well. Have sent you my email address so please feel free to contact me either with that or, if you prefer, on DS. Will look in more often if I know you're around. x
