i have a sister who has missed my snail mail cards and letters. she has been on a campaign to get me back to that. it's working. sorta. it's got me comparing the cathartic value of typing for instant responses vs writing by hand and waiting on snail mail. the latter is far and away more meditative.
my gut tells me you will love directing the adult discussion group. just a hunch.
Some time ago, I remember you saying that you might like to go into teaching. The discussion group sounds like it would be right up your alley! You'd be great!
thanks arfie and susan. I am home from work now and I am decompressing from the day. I know we all are processing
our experiences and I want to hear more about both of yours. I feel like I am inhabiting my life more now rather than living as
a master of analysis and crtique. Arfie, I very much have been questioning the immediacy of the internet and texts etc...
I feel like I have been not living a real life in some ways. Like I have been so caught up in spinning my wheels rather than
talking to a friend in person. You guys here rock - it's like the best of both worlds. I am grateful for your friendships and support.
Susan- in fact I have thought about being a teacher - good memory! - I'm nervous about conducting the meetings - but
I need to have patience and I will that it'll be a learning process until I get really good at it. thanks!
Hi Mark.....I wonder if speaking/leading a group would lead you to hamster wheel what you say.
Where as if you write to inmates, you'll have time prior to sending your letter to review.
