Update # 1. Mini crash and bad mood.

Sorry I haven’t felt like being on DS for a while. I’m still kickin’. I went into a mini crash after we came back from Maine. I’ve been in a really foul frame of mind, too.  (I won't even get into what it's like to have to fly these days ... TSA + airline mergers = joke-worthy material!)
My mother-in-law’s chemo isn’t working. The mass isn’t growing (yet), but the chemo isn’t shrinking it, either. She’s very weak. While we were up there, my husband and his brothers built new, shorter porch steps so she can get in and out of the house easier when it’s necessary for her to go somewhere.
My mom has had a couple of health set-backs, too. The ulcer on her foot was oozing yellow gunk when she saw the podiatrist Tuesday, and she has arterial blockage in the other leg, now. At least when she has surgery for that leg, it will be on an outpatient basis.
The house is getting worse. The kitchen door won’t close at all now. At night, I prop it to with a kitchen chair. I’m not scared of intruders, though. Ain’t nobody getting’ in this house … ha ha. (More on that in my next journal!)
On the upside, my daughter is doing much better. I went to her last two dr. appts with her. The doctor said he could easily see improvements. SO CAN I!!! She is still in some pain, but she can climb like a little monkey now! She went up a ladder and into the loft of her garage to crawl around on her hands and knees to get some storage tote boxes down!
I’m doing better physically. I’ve been catching up on house cleaning chores that I haven’t done for YEARS! I have almost all of my “fat” clothes boxed up and in the shed. I have all of my “not fat” clothes washed and ready to put in the drawers and closets. I’ve emptied the drawers and closets and cleaned them. I’ve cleaned beneath the bed. I gone up into the attic repeatedly to sort, stack, throw things away, and sweep. I’ve boxed up empty mason jars and carried them to the attic (I have sixteen cases of half-pint jelly jars – don’t ask what else I have) ………… I’ve gotten really stupid and worn myself into a state of painful exhaustion on more than one occasion. But I have taken long, soaking baths in cider vinegar water and bounced back within a couple of days.
Yeah, the dermatologist I saw thinks that the skin rashes I've been getting may be eczema.
Are we all sick of doctors??????

Hi hun, it is great to hear from you and to hear you have been getting so much done! I sit around dreaming about doing big cleaning jobs! It must feel great.
good news about your daughter. I am so sorry to hear about your mother and also your mother-in-law. The stress must be tough on everyone.

I haven\'t heard of the cider vinegar baths! They sounds interesting. Are they meant for pain? How much vinegar do you use? I might have to try that one day :)

Sending you loads of energies and sunshine. :)

Good to hear from you, Nancy. I was hoping you hadn\'t fallen off the face of the earth. It sounds like you have a lot going on. I\'m glad you are feeling stronger. Just take it bit by bit. Don\'t do too much at once. So sorry that things aren\'t going well for your MIL or your mother. It\'s so hard to not be well yourself and to be trying to help your parents and such. And, yes, I\'m sick of doctors. We could all do a pretty good rant on that one. Lots of love and light to you.
