Hello everyone, It is a beautiful day in North Carolina. I think spring has finally arrived in the south. I have had all of you on my mind today. I pray for each of you.  Steve is feeling like himself yesterday and today. It is amazing what being off Sutent for a few days does for him. He worked outside yesterday and is planning on taking the mower today for service. He has smiled a lot more and I thank God for that.
He continues to have very bad dreams. I wonder if this is caused by Sutent. Has anyone experienced this side effects? He does not rest well at night and it is ofter early morning when he sleeps the best. I just let him sleep and try to be quiet.  Of course when has these dreams it is hard to wake him!  I fully expect to be socked one day.
I have read the journals of those who are trying to cope with the loss of their loved one. I can't fully wrap my mind around the suffering. We have been married so long, and he has been my one and only love. I do pray for those who pour your hearts out in the journals, I just hope you can feel those prayers.  This site has helped me so much, dear Carol is so strong and she has become my hero. All of you have become so special to me, you inspire more than I can say.   With much love to you all, Wanda

HI Wanda,

i am so glad to hear hat Steve is feeling better, i don\'t know much about Sutent as Tim has had such good luck with Torisel and his side effects aren\'t very bad at the moment.. God bless Torisel and all other treatments that are working..I hope you find the the answers to your questions, sorry that i can\'t help you.. It\'s also very spring like here in Massachusettes, still a bit chilly but beautiful sunny days.. I hope that Steve continues to have good days and i know what you mean as you say the one and only man you love as i feel the same way about Tim..

Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and Steve..

Love,
Becca

Hello Wanda,

Hey glad to hear Steve is doing better. I understand the effects of Sutent and always looked forward to the 14-days off. With Sutent have stopped working for me, I would take the side-effects back. Hope it continues to work for him.

You are right it has been beautiful in NC. I am ready for spring and warmer weather.

Thank you for the prayers....they must be working. I started on Afinitor (6th day today) and already I am feeling better. Not as short on breath and not hacking up a lung or two. Keep up the good work.

I am amazed on the new drugs in the last 4-5 years and how they work or do not work on different people.

My best to everyone.

Cheers,
Gary

My husband is on Sutent almost 2 weeks now, no noticeable side effects yet. He had his kidney removed 3 weeks ago and has a hardtime sleeping, can\'t relax and get comfortable. Dr. gave him sleeping pills, last night he slept pretty good, first time since surgery. Hope Sutent works, won\'t know till after second cycle when they do a cat scan.

Dear Wanda,
My husband took Sutent, but only for 14 days. He didn\'t experience those dreams. Could it be caused by another medication? It\'s wonderful that Steve is feeling so well. Know he\'s enjoying the break.
I agree....Carol is my heroine too! She\'s amazing.
Hugs,
Ingrid

Hello Wanda,

I don\'t recall my husband havng bad dreams with Sutent...but then, each person is so different. Too bad he can\'t have good dreams! Is he too warm at night? I heard that when the body is too warm, people are inclined to have bad dreams. Probably an old wives tale...but, something to consider. Have you talked to the doctor about these dreams?

Anyway Wanda, you need to realize how much you and Steve inspire others like me by your long battle with this disease. You are also quite amazing.

Love, Linda

Wanda - Glad you could see some smiles from Steve. Makes a difference, I know. Don\'t know about the dreams, but do know you are wise to let him sleep when he can. Enjoy each day. - Karen

Dear Wanda,
I\'m glad that Steve is having some good days in his break from Sutent and that Spring has arrived for you. I have had bad dreams from medication (not for RCC), as well as really weird dreams and woken up quite exhausted as though I hadn\'t slept. It would be worthwhile checking whether it could be Sutent or another med or even from a combination of meds. Being able to sleep is so important.
As Linda says, you are amazing and inspire so many of us here.
