Hello everyone, It is a beautiful sunny day in North Carolina. It was down to 40 degrees last night so I had to cover a lot of my flowers. Just didn't know if we would have frost. We are always colder that Charlotte, NC so better safe than sorry.
Steve is doing very well and will be scaned on May 26th. We will find out if the radiation worked and if he will go on a new chemo drug. It is scary to me to change the chemo drugs. I have heard of so many horror stories from different folks trying the various drugs that it makes me a little scared. I think our doctor will put him on Votrient. We have discussed this before.
I am by myself tonight. Steve has gone with his sister to the casino for two nights. I have decided to stay with my dog Maxwell. ( I will keep my trusty gun by my bedside). I can't stand to throw my money away. I like to play but about 50 bucks in my limit. If it keeps Steve's mind off cancer then I say go for it.
I hope all is okay with my friends. Just a plain ole everyday is something to cherish. Please pray for all of the ones who are not doing well. So many of them, you hear of a new person every day that desperately needs help.

Hi Sweet Wanda,
So happy to hear that Steve is feeling well. Ray always enjoys going to Harrah\'s too. He said he\'s able to tune everything out and relax. Like you, I\'m not crazy about throwing money away....but if it helps Ray, that\'s all that counts. Sure you feel the same way about Steve.
We have an appointment next Monday to see Ray\'s oncologist again. We\'re going to discuss the possibility of ablation on the largest lung tumor. IF he qualifes, and IF Dr. Babcock will order it, Ray said he\'ll try that. Thank you, Lord. Please pray about it, Hon.
I\'m not familiar with Votrient, but hafve heard good things about it. Our doc was talking about Afinitor, but Ray wouldn\'t agree to it.
Will be praying for wonderful results on the 26th. Hang in there, and don\'t shoot the dog!

Dear Wanda, I realized that I never got around to calling you...I\'m sorry. My son\'s divorce has been taking a toll on him and in turn on me too. However, we are making progress. I am praying that Steve will get the best news on how the radiation killed off all that cancer... My spirits have continued to be good and I am getting so excited as the months get closer to our meeting. Take care of yourself...Love, Linda

Will be praying that Steve has good news on 26th. Steve will enjoy the casino with his sister and you can have some ME time. Somehow I can\'t imagine you, sweet lady, with a gun beside you lolol. Our gun laws are so different here and only few people have a licence to keep a gun.

I am glad Steve is having a good old time ! Well , hopefully the fuller brush man ( do they still have those ) or the Kirby vacuumm cleaner sales man doesn\'t show up at your place or they might just wished that didn\'t ha ha . I hope the scan on May 26th comes soon with good news. Gail

Won\'t it be a great break for BOTH of you. So happy that Steve is doing well, and I just know that the radiation worked or him, just know it. I am very high on Votrient. It was my own dear Tom who participated in the Phase III trial that resulted in its approval by the FDA while he was still on it. He did great with it, and that one does not scare me at all. However,as we all know, everyone is DIFFERENT. That is what makes the world go round.
