unwinding time
I've had a lazy unstructured morning. I did the minor chores around the house, shaved,
paid a bill, went to Starbucks, then came home to lay on the carpet with Blue. He needs
me on his level a lot.
I was philosophical and just letting my mind wander towards the abstractions of where
I live and where I will be living. I unwound a little too much and things, nothing, seemed to
make sense. But then I remembered to come onto here - to be responsible for my life
and relationships and very much take consolation and strength from our group here.
So, I'm getting back into life again. I have an appointment for Blue at 1pm around the corner.
Things are good,
peace,
Mark

I hope Blue’s appointment goes good, maybe you can give him a nice treat after for being a brave little man :)
Big hug <3
Thanks lil missy! We’re in the waiting room right now!
Good luck to you and Blue! Hope the appointment goes well.
Thanks Judy!
Blue pooped all inside his carrier case. I washed him off when he got home.
Used some towels that I then threw away to clean his rear.
Ah well, he does this everytime his in a carrier. It's going to be a messy flight to Maryland!
Yikes! I pray for the patience of my co-flyers!
So sorry to hear about Blue’s carrier anxiety. Spirit has it, too. I try to help her by putting a small, soft blanket in the carrier and playing, via my phone, relaxing songs from Through a Cat’s Ear on YouTube. I tried that Feliway spray, but it didn’t work for her. I’ve heard of some people having success with a Thundershirt. Maybe you can ask the vet for tips before the flight. This article has some great tips. https://www.insider.com/guides/pets/flying-with-a-cat
Thanks Susan. The vet wouldn’t give any advice. He just basically said, you can’t help what happens
Well, that’s not very helpful.
…but you can prepare for it. I especially like sections 2 and 3 of the article.
thanks. I will check it out tomorrow.
Right now I have to write a journal and then get to bed.
I am spent! :) xo
