Unreal
I just had the most unsettling dream there's ever been.
For the last couple of days, I've been having the same dream over and over again with a few variations. I always have my eyes closed for most of the dream, It starts out with me trying to sleep in math class. And then everyone is sleeping. And then it is all indiscernable from black lumps and whiteboard. Another student projects the same video onto the board every time. Something about math or Greek history. I know because as soon as I hear the first four or five words, I'm filled with the most indescribable feeling; just complete and utter mind fod and confusion and a sense that I'm going crazy. Another student is trying to tell me something about youtubers and we're laughing even though I'm not really following and my eyes are closed so I have no idea what he's watching. I remember getting confused on whether or not he was my friend or my bully.
Next I remember my grandpa and grandma being at my dining table and we were all sitting together comfortably on what must have been an incredibly large chair. My grandma sat on the side and my grandpa had me on his lap. And for some reason, my hamster was there too. I remember that I was distraught that he had woken her up and stressed her out just to bring her downstairs to show me. I wanted to take her back up but for the rest of the meal, I was knocked around and laughed at and somehow just glued to the seat in a mental sort of way. As if I was somehow bound to wait it out or stay forever listening and feeling it. And I was cupping her in my hands throughout it all, more scared for her than me, hoping she wouldn't jump out and why wouldn't they let me go if it was for her sake, not mine? Whenever I was shoved by some undiscernible force, she began to scrabble and shake and it scared me more than anything else.
Then I was going to English class. Every day I have this dream, the way there gets more and more convoluted. It's in a weird corner after several strange twists and turns through grey, practically mazelike walls that do not exist in my actual school. On the second or third day, people started crowding the halls. on the day before today, there was some kind of vehicle (I felt strongly about it being a crane for whatever reason) I had to crawl through. Today I was shoved through several crowds and leading a group of people I vaguely know in real life. One kept shoving me and pushing me to go faster, but I couldn't see and had no idea where I was even going. I was going through crowds, running into walls, at one point I was sliding past something only describable as some kind of giant inflated leather ball. When I finally got to the english class door, which had become so familiar over the past couple days, I was suddenly alone. It was dark and a spotlight type of light shone down on me, leaving a circle of white and an abyss of black. In the dreams before, I was always able to enter the class and the rest of the dream would be relatively mild.
I adamantly refused to open my eyes, even though I felt I should. I remember wondering something like "What are the capabilities of this dream? Does it have advanced motion detection?" and reaching my arm out to see if I would get the feeling of a door handle in response. I was surprised with a small and cold door handle, even though I felt I had reached extremely far to the right. Before I could turn it, I heard a woman's laugh. I took my hand off, and nothing. Again I was about to touch the door handle, and the woman laughed at me. It was always a short laugh. I have a feeling that this happened several times and then children started joining in, laughing, not even snickering or chortling or in a joyful way, just the most generic laugter you've ever heard, worse than the scripted kind on TV. And then I remember looking off to the side for the first time, my eyes open, for a source to these voices. And everything went to shit. It was almost as if I was being punished for averting my eyes like it was some kind of satanic ritual. Colors flashed, faces flashed, laughter went in and out and in again and it was LOUD and so real, so real. Everyone was laughing at me and I looked off to the side at this section of brick wall, the only section somehow illuminated besides my circle, and I started having pictures FLASHING behind my eyes. It was like one of those old kid toys where there's a strip or a wheel with tiny pictures and a contraption that magnifies and shines a light on them, and you just turn them or pull them and all the pictures show up. And these freaking weird symbols were flipping and flashing behind my eyes and then I heard an incredibly loud buzzing next to my ear and I woke up.
I was questioning whether or not that had been part of the dream or there was actually a fly next to me ear. I remember actually falling back asleep once or twice and this same type of stuff, laughter, flashing, all that, kept happening. The fly buzzed in my ear again, then in my other ear. I lied awake for what felt like a long, long time wondering if I was going insane, indeed if I was still dreaming and this was my mind tricking me into a false sense if security. The side of my desk looked like a kneeling man, the rack a sitting man, the lampshade a staring eye. I looked away and the fly kept buzzing.
I finally got up and grabbed my phone and left. I'm sitting in a different room typing this now. I don't know if I'm brave enough to fall askeep again.
There's an itchy crescent shape in my neck that leads me to believe that it was a mosquito, not a fly. I keep rubbing it like I can't believe its there or like it's some kind of memento or reminder that that did happen.
Throughout that whole dream, I seldom opened my eyes, People laughed and talked around me. We watched educational videos. We had a family dinner. People were annoyed with me, exasperated with me, laughing at me. I refused to open them. I was scared of something, but within the dream, I never knew what. I never even wondered what or had a vague idea, but whenever I wondered if I could open them there came that reminder that if you do you'll see terrible things. Does that make sense? Was I scared of finally seeing the people around me? The things they do? The ways they act?
I didn't even feel much in that dream besides rising unsettlement and confusion and fear. In that type of situation in real life, I would have stood up for myself or gotten annoyed or left. But I just stayed for what felt like hours and hours with each minute grinding on my mind. I'm left so confused, I'm just hoping I'll be able to see tommorrow everything going back to normal, or seeming to, and being able to get on with my day without thinking about this again.

Wow, that is so weird! I am no good at interpreting dreams, but the fact that it makes you feel so terrible makes me think that it is a projection of your feelings. The feelings that you have when you are awake are coming out more strongly when you are asleep. That sounds so disturbing. I'm so sorry.
