Unfinished Business

I enjoy self help and have since in my 20's. in this world, I can become quite focused on what I see and totally miss what I don't see. There is so much that cannot be seen. Finishing the book, the Grief Recovery Handbook, helped me to find some of those unseens. The pain in my heart was caused by things done and things not done. I frequently intellectualize and overlook what I need to feel or what my spirit needs. I was able to close the door on some things that were related to Mike's death but were getting in the way of me grieving properly. By properly, I mean, allowing me to feel and fluid movement of grief. I was hung up on some things. Apparently, they were important to me because once I was aware of them and dealt with them, I felt an easiness about me. My heart is at rest. It's ok.
I will continue grieving for my husband. Probably for as long as I live. I will miss him. I will look forward to seeing him again. I know that with these issues put to bed, my spirit will move more freely. My heart will love more willingly and I can move through the rest of this life. It's good.
