Ultrasound OK
I had my ultrasound yesterday to check for any problems. Everything came out fine. The attendant kept saying "perfect, perfect" so I know I'm good. I haven't weighed in a couple of days because I'm doing a challenge to focus on the process, not the results. (or something like that). I've been really tired lately and sleeping in until noon. I need to get off that. I need to start going to the gym again. I don't have to do the classes, I can just use the machines. I want to do the classes, but lately I haven't been feeling well. I see my doctor on Monday so I can talk to him about that. My horrible burn is healing nicely... shouldn't scar too bad. I was trying to turn chicken over with my bare hands and my finger caught the broiler heater. Nice 3rd degree burn. I showed it to one of the nurses at work and she said just keep putting Neosporin on it and keep it dry. It's been working so far. It's not infected, which is good.
My Thanksgiving went well... my mom and her husband came down to celebrate. Tracy, my mom's husband, said he would only come down if he could do all the cooking. I was very happy about that. And my mom insisted on cleaning. I'm so lucky to have a nice family. I talked to my stepmom for about an hour about random things.. then she started in on my reading of the Bible and prayer. She doesn't know I'm an atheist and I'm not going to tell her. She would disown me, and then I wouldn't be able to see my little brother anymore. He's in college but still living at home.

good new all around except for your burn. that sounds really nasty and I am glad it is getting better. so good about the ultrasound and hopefully the doctor will help nwith the other issues. great attiude about eating and exercising, you are such a fighter. yeah on thanksgiving and all the help you got from family! I think it is the right thing not to mention your feelings on religion too. hugss
sorry it took me so long to read this. I hope by now the burn is all healed. You sound motivated to get to the gym. You will do it.

your stepmother sounds like our family with the religion thing. but i enjoy religion. easier to read religious commentaries than the bible. the commentaries are in ordinary english and very scholarly. when people read the bible they give you their own interpretation of it, which is often incorrect, because its so old and things meant different things back then that we don\'t know about now unless we look it up. commentaries tell you all the meanings and the history, its actually easier.

He made turkey, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy. He used to be a cook so everything came out good.
