Ultrasound

First of all, there was snow everywhere this morning. SNOW. It is April god damned sixteenth. Why.

Get to the hospital 10 minutes late. Sit and wait for ten more minutes. Get called back but some guy with a super heavy accent comes barging ahead of me, screaming because he needs a specimen cup for a semen sample. Okay, fine.

My turn. Get undressed, hop on the table. Tech comes in. "HI, I'M ANDREA!" as she shoves dildo cam directly into the hem of my dress, coating it with gel. Le sigh.

This hurts.

"Your lining is nice and thick!"

(YAAAAY!!!)

"Uh, do you have both your ovaries?"

"Yes. The left one is stuck to something, the old tech used to have to push on my belly and make me hold my breath in order to..."

"I'm just going to push on your belly right here."

Sigh. "Okay."

OW.

"Um, do you know if you have endometriosis?"

"Yeah, I do."

"Yeah, I can tell. Your pelvic anatomy is way messed up."

"Yeah, I know. Thanks."

So I'm expecting good news when my nurse calls. Overall it was a mildly irritating morning that turned into a shitshow when it took me over 3 hours to drive to work because of a bad crash with at least 2 fatalities this morning. Clearly I could use some good news!
