Two weeks - seems like an eternity- the mystery of TIME

Well, it has now been two weeks since my trip to the casino; wow - I can't believe it... time is a very strange phenomenon - sometimes it zooms by and other times it really d r a g s... I don't quite understand it.  Anyway, there have been moments when I really miss gambling and time is going oh so slow.  Then there are days when, though it's always there - - -I don't have an active urge (I mean one I would really follow), though maybe you guys know what I mean - it's just "always there"... Overall - things are GOOD.. Little miracles seem to be happening.  I hit a jackpot :] on a clothes return the other day; went in with a jacket and slacks I had purchased back in March... Since I had the slip I was confident I would get store credit so I was picking things out.. (I'm nicer to myself when I'm not gambling).. Anyway, after picking out $100 or so, I went to the register and they said I had a credit of $100; fine - but then the clerk asked me about the items I was returning ; like did I like them okay . . . did they fit me, etc. . . getting to the reason I was returning them.. So... then she smiled and said - I'm asking because I could "sell them back" to you for 348 each piece.... I repeated - - you mean - three DOLLARS...    Yes - that was it, so essentially someone handed me $200! I then bought some other items and still ended up with a $50.00 CREDIT for next time - (what's up with that?? )  Amazing.... life is GOOD!Hope everyone is doing well... until my next post,Hugs,Smokeygirl

Life is good when you are living, day to day graces that we easily miss when we are in the gambling haze.
I know what you mean about time, after my slip 4 months ago I felt like this - that i would \"never\" reach four months, it felt like an eternity and some days D R A G G E D. Not the case now - the urges are less but the knowledge that I could gamble tomorrow if I let down my guard is still there - so for today I choose not to gamble - even if I have time to. I choose to live my life and enjoy it.
Such good things to do. Hugs to you my friend and keep up the good work. Suzi

Well for the first part of your journal, boy have I been there. Nothing seemed to work except for living one day at a time. For the second part of your journal WOW you did hit the jackpot lol. Stuff like that never happens to me, just a little jealous (o;
