Two weeks

I have been off work now for two weeks. I have noticed a slight improvement in my energy level but that is probably because when I get tired, I lay down. I don't have to push through a 12 hour shift any more. The level of pain has stayed the same. I was hoping that by taking it easier on my body, my joint pain and overall pain would be improved.
Monday I got the results of my Functional Capacity Evaluation.  It says that I can work at something that is sedentary. I didn't go to college and get my nursing license to be a sedentary nurse. I wanted to be a bedside nurse. Oh well, its not like we plan this disease. It's not like I went into this knowing I was going to get sick.
A happy side of this (if there is such a thing) is that I have had time to spend with my kids and they really seem happy to have me home. They are not thrilled about missing out on some of the things we did when I was making more money (like vacations and stuff) but they are enjoying seeing me every day and I am enjoying them. And, since my husband has not had to help with homework or clean up in the evenings, he taught our five year old son to ride a bike without training wheels.
