Tumble dryer gate
A couple of workers at my old accommodation said I could use use the tumble dryer as they are not as miserable as the others. The problem is I don't know when they are working. I went down tonight and unfortunately they weren't. I asked the night shift woman whom I've known for years ( I expected her to say no anyway) and she refused. I lived in that place for years with good behaviour. I cannot believe how miserable some people are. Twenty minutes and it's not her own personal dryer or energy bills. It's not like I'm some slob from the street but I might as well be. Why not help out someone? Anyway I threw my clothes in the recycling bin but I went back for them. They were in a bag and upright anyway. I was so upset I felt sick. I've no doubt she will report to the manager and they will probably put word out to everyone else (yes they are that sad). I am glad to have left the place as that attitude is nothing new. My mind said never return here, even to the friendly staff. I have my clothes in the bathroom with the window open. The move has been tough I've had skin flare ups. I wish I prioritised a tumble dryer more. I didn't think it would of been like this. Having back problems I probably almost put myself in hospital with the move. I decided to delay the rest of painting and not wreck myself. I think slowly things are getting up and going. A lot of deliveries have been cancelled because it's a new address and some drivers can't be bothered to check. I saw my mum at the shop earlier buying wine. Some things never change. She saw me and then bought a couple of other things to make it look like a normal shop. I don't think she knows I saw her at the start. Ah yes the old master of deceipt. The woman who gave me so much abuse and badmouths me in public. Like the night shift worker who I smelt alcohol off before. I don't know why these people seem to despise me so much. I think my setup can now move to somewhat normal and I can focus on physical rehab. I think I've lost my party trick being unable to run and I am now back to being a scumbag. Yes this is the way my mind thinks. It was really the only thing I could give myself credibility for. I have a training plan setup to try workaround back issues. Sitting on a chair is my biggest hindrance right now and it hurts me leaning forward in my natural pose. I hope I can start getting myself on track again.

it genuinely is amazing how miserable people can be. when i feel miserable, myself, i seem to attract miserable people like dust bunnies collecting in corners. early into my recovery i was so miserable that miserable people were everywhere. i was introduced to a tool i currently call, "the mirror effect." when i am obsessively affected by someone else's misery, i consider the possibility that their misery is a reflection of my own. could i benefit from applying some of the opinions i have for them to myself?
have you tried walking/hiking? i've never been much of a runner, but it seems to me that walking gives me similar benefits to what i've heard runners speak of without the added stresses to the physical systems
Miserable people want us to be just as miserable as them but don't fall into their trap. Think of these people as the spider's web and you won't be the caught fly. Mentally block their energy.
Does your apartment have a laundry closet or space for a washer or dryer to plug in? I live in the USA and we all have both washers and gas or electric dryers that tumble. Mine is so noisy I can hear it from my desk. The flipper who did a poor job on this house that we ddint' realize make the laundry closet so small that we have to have compact 22 inch deep units. They are kind of crummy and I have heard this is what is common in the UK and Europe. Laundry takes forever but it is in my home.
There might be a time period when the big laundry room in your building is open. Say 8 am to 8 pm or something.
I agree with Hasty. Moving is extremely stressful. Just adjust to your new place a little at a time. I sometimes hang wet clothes on my shower pole for a couple of days to dry
Moving is a horrible process even under ideal circumstances. People who are nasty don't deserve your energy. Block them mentally and move on. You've moved to a much nicer place. It will all come together with time. Do some walking instead of running. Not being able to run does not make you a scumbag. It means that you need to explore other options to help manage anxiety and depression. I'm sure that seeing your Mam was unpleasant. Move on as best you can from that too. You were always deserving of love and kindness even if she didn't think so. One person's poor opinion reflects on them and not you. Everything will be OK, it may just take a minute to get there.
