Trying to stay positive
Cold is better, fibromyalgia a little better, anxiety up, sadness up, so up and down, on the positive side I had my grandson yesterday,I love him so much he is 8 going on 14. Went to see him play basket ball, he likes sports. I am so much better when some one is around but 90% of the time I am alone. Do not like being alone, that is way this group has helped me so much knowing some one is out there. When I am alone I think of my daughter and my whole world comes down on me ,so much loss and regrets, and that wondering why. My emotions are a roller coaster, I confuse my self, how silly, Wish so much we all lived close ,but I have to be real this is what it is and I am grate full for what I do have, and know I can not change what I do not have, life goes on and I am still going with it .

so glad you got to watch to watch your grandson play basketball. that is wonderful. Indeed you are not alone my friend - even when I am not able to respond, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
are you able to get out and go to some place where you can be with people during the day? Hospitals look for volunteers, etc.
Well...who won,,,I\'m sure it was your grandsons team,,,at least I hope so...
I am so sorry to hear you are not feeling well my friend and please remember I am here for you. I know it is not always easy to pick ones self up again, I sometimes feel like that as well. So I wanted you to know that if you need someone to chat to I am always here to listen. Hugs and take is easy.
shirley , i\'m so glad u had a respite even for just for a tiny time especially with a small person . sometimes out of the eyes of a child we can see the world thru an entirely new perspective . i understand your loneliness and empathize so deeply . i have nothing if not time and would love to spend it with my dear friend to perhaps ease the sadness and make u laff .. loads of tender hugs ..
Glad the cold and fibro are a bit better....hope the sadness has lifted too. If you drive, and are able (with the fibro) I think getting out and getting involved in something is a great idea. Volunteering is always an awesome thing to do. If you craft, you may want to look into groups that meet....or square dancing like another one of our moms does. Maybe even take a class at a local college. They offer all sorts of things these days. I think we all need people in our lives....friends, family, even strangers. We are meant to share our lives with others and not be isolated too much of the time. I hope you\'ll find a good fit for your personality and capabilities soon. Take care my friend, Teri.
Great big positive hugs! That is wonderful quality time spent with your grandson I\'m sure he treasures it so much. Sometimes when I am in groups of people I feel alone. I\'m happy you are on DS too! This is a great place xoxo
Shirley, I hate being by myself also. I am better when there are people around. I have the grandkids every weekend now so there is lots a life going on in the house. I am glad you are feeling better.
Big Hugs Penny
Hi Shirley, I am glad you\'re feeling better physically. I agree with what RememberKala says in her comment to you. I felt so much better when newly bereaved, just getting out of my (then) apartment and mixing with people, even though all were strangers to me-- was enormously helpful. I had less time to think about my own sadness and was able to focus, at least for awhile, on something/someone else which was so helpful to me. :-)
Hope your evening is gentle! Love+Hugs, Donna
Shirley it would be so nice if we all were close and could me regularly face to face. I feel so lonely sometimes also and my husband lives with me, but he keeps to himself a lot and resents my intrusion...it\'s not a typical situation. There are times when he is a comfort, but they are not the norm. I too am grateful I can turn to this web site for comfort and friends. Glad you go to have time with your grandson. Sending love, Terry
