Trying to get back on track
Here i am 3 years and 4 months later and it all still seems like a bad dream honey. I miss you every day every hour every minute. I always will, i have resigned myself to that. I have made up my mind I have to stop feeling sorry for myself and stop feeling so sad. I have decided to start over with my diet. Just like I did the 2 weeks before I had my stomach surgery. 2 weeks of protein shakes. It produced 35 pounds of weight loss before why not now? I started Tuesday and have lost 7 pounds so far. It is a far cry from the 80 pounds i stuffed in my face since you have been gone. You would have so yelled at me. You know i'm a stress eater. Well i have decided to get control of it and my goal is the weight I got down to after my surgery. I wish you were to help keep me on track, but I know you are with me and that will have to do. I know you are watching and will help give me the strength to succeed.
Love you
Jeff

I\'m sorry for your loss Jeff. It\'s only been 15 months since I lost my husband Brownie (his nickname) just like you I feel sorry for myself, stay sad and can\'t let it go. It\'s so hard when you lose your partner in life. I wish you luck with your grief and your diet. You can do it.
Jeff, I am so very sorry for your loss also! I can so relate to how you are feelling. I too am a stress eater. And I admire you starting to diet again. You deserve to pat yourself on the back. If I were there I certainly would give you a hearty pat. Hang in there. I will be right here rooting you on. Missing our loved one will probably never go away. I don\'t know how it could. Hugs and Love, Michele
Hi Jeff. We have chatted before! I am just like you. I cannot move on...keep recalling everything from 2013 and before. My friends tell me to move along. Hah. I have a hard time doing it. My husband was like you...competitive shooting. Was a deputy. So, I miss all that we used to do. Camping, hunting, shooting, going to shoots. UGH. I am a retired nurse but worked last 10 years in nursing informatics...teaching computers to docs and nurses! But, we retired, so I have no job to keep me busy. I volunteer whenever I can. Getting out of the house helps. So many memories here. My hubby lost 80# while in the hospital for a year; I gained 40#. I am doing just as you are, trying to get healthy.....for our kids and their kidlets. Good luck to you. Get out there, meet people, let us all move on. We will never forget what yesterday brought us, but we all do have a future! The best to you!
