Trying to Control my nights
I woke up early this morning. My sleep has been tiresome. I’m not having as many nightmares, but they are really strange.I wake up frequently wondering in the night thinking it’s time to get up. My mind is convinced that if I would wake up first then nothing can wake me up and attack me, but of corse it’s like at 1:00 3;00 4;30 5;30 finally at 0 6;00 I decided to get up. Most of the time I wake up concerned and afraid that someone is watching me. It’s more like someone is watching and planning his next attack. My Dr even increased my Seroquel meds in the evening, It has weaken the trauma of the night mares, but they are there yet waiting to prey on my innocence and weakness. PTSD seems to go on forever when you are suffering with DID and SRA. We have been processing a lot in therapy and I’m tired. I can also see how this is effecting Sally my therapist too. I pray that God will continually strengthen us as we are feeble and weak as we stumble through and address a lot of the satanic abuse. With all that said I’m actually looking forward in going to church today. Just the thought to be around other sisters and brothers in Christ generates a moment of peace in my mind and heart. Even my stress in my body weakens.
Wishing a peaceful day to you all!
Hugs,
Jessy

Sorry about your bad nights of sleeplessness. Being the victim of psychopaths, I have often worried they would break into my house at night while I\'m sleeping. Some of the things I\'ve done to help me feel safer are:
1. I have a 140lb dog
2. At one time I had one of those sensors that makes a loud chime when someone walks past it. These are cheap and you can get them at radioshack. I put it at the bottom of my staircase so if anyone came up the stairs at night, it would go off and I\'d hear it upstairs from my bedroom.
3. I\'ve kept weapons nearby when sleeping. This could be anything from a paintball gun to pepper spray, to a real gun.
4. I used to keep the bedroom door closed and locked at night.
5. I just recently added a baby gate to the bottom of the stairs so that\'s one added obstacle for anyone trying to get to me at night. It\'s actually so my dog doesn\'t try to climb upstairs at night anymore because he falls.
So some of these might help you feel a little safer at night. Hope you find something that works.
Thank you! I have to admit the 140lb dog made me laugh. Actually I am getting a German Sheperd soon. So that is a plus. I do have a charm on all the enterences of the house. The only weapon I have is a base ball bat. Maybe I\'ll try to get some pepper spray. That\'s a good idea. Great ideas thank you! have a great day!
