Trying for upbeat...day2
This is a quote that we should all try to live by even in our darkest times that’s all we can do for the moment is just "BE". Yesterday was a good day for me. I deliberately set it up so that I would only be in positive situations. I had a lovely afternoon with my g/f. I ended up spending a longer period of time there than I had planned but I was not on any schedule so what the heck!!! I then went to Canadian Tire and bought ,guess what??? Just what I didn’t need 4 more plants!! They were on sale so of course I had to buy them. They were regular $29.95 and I got all 3 for that price. The fourth plant was only $2.50. The three are a type of rhododendron. They grow about 3 feet by 3 feet and can easily be shaped. They also bloom all season long and keep there green leaves all year. I am going to put them along my front walk. I’ll take a pic when I get it done. I will be doing it today as it is suppose to be SUNNY. Yeah!!! right now it’s cool, 40 F but it’s only 7:00. I have to get out there around 9:00 because the sun hits there all day and it just gets too hot to work .I also bought some bird food and hummingbird food. I didn’t think I had any hummingbirds but I have noticed a few around my fushia plants so we’ll see if they go for the feeders. They are so..cute .I love watching the birds.I finally found out what has been eating all of my plants in my rock garden. I’ve been treating for slugs/snails but the damage continued. I tried trounce, an all purpose bug killer, still no luck. Then yesterday, I really started to investigate why my lily leaves are turning brown and dying. Guess what I found!!! those nasty, creepy earwigs. They eat from the roots, they will eat off all blossoms and strip leaves. I’ll fix the little buggers today. They are going to get a nice bath in dish soap and water. Kills them in their tracks. They won’t be messing with me anymore!!!Anyway, I have gardening to do today. Plus my daughter has found an apartment ( I think ) and she wants me to see it at 3:00.she’s only been here for two weeks or so but she really wants her own place. Can’t blame her, she almost 24 and use to being out on her own. Nice though that she still wants mum’s opinion. Debbie
