Trip to Jacksonville

Today was another good day. I got plenty of sleep last night and my mom woke me up. We went to Jacksonville and went to the River Landing there. It was nice. We walked around a bit and had pizza for lunch. Well, we went to a pizza place and my mom and Tracy got sandwiches and I got pizza and a salad. It was good pizza. It wasn't quite the deep dish that I wanted, but it was still good. We also went to get my Amtrak ticket back home. I wish my mom would drive me, but she can't. When Tracy tried to kick her out, she had nowhere to go and I was going to let her stay at my place at least for the night. That's why she was going to drive me home. That, and the price of the ticket was high, $90 for a one way when we normally pay $50. But we got the ticket, and I'm going home on Thursday. Joy, Tracy's mom gave us money for Christmas so she could afford the ticket.
Mood today was good... I was just a bit cold outside. My stomach has been cooperating so far and I'm glad about that. I haven't been eating too high over my calories, and even when I do it's not too bad. I've been so low on calories for so long that it's good to get a couple good days in. We went to Starbucks today, and that was a wonderful treat. I haven't had a mocha since I was last here in September, and I enjoyed it a lot. I savored it as much as I could. I got it nonfat with no whipped cream, so it fit into my diet. It was still wonderful, even though it was diet so to speak. That really lifted my mood. It's funny how little things can mean so much. I didn't expect it to mean as much as it did, but it really made me feel good. I have to be careful, though, because I don't want my mood to depend on what I'm eating. That can be dangerous.
I had a big lunch, so I'm going to have a light dinner. That is, if I eat dinner at all. I'm not hungry, so I don't know what I'm going to do. I know I should eat a little something, maybe a bit of leftover prime rib since it was so good last night. Last night's dinner was great, prime rib with potatoes and green beans. I think most of the food is gone, but oh well. I will eat what I can. I'm doing good on calories today, because I chose to eat cereal for breakfast instead of going and getting fast food like my mom and Tracy did. I told them not to get anything for me, and I was able to resist the food that was leftover. I'm proud of myself for that. I'm trying to get my eating under control, and resisting things like fast food is good.
Stress today was moderate... my mom and Tracy got along for most of the time, but there was some time when we couldn't find the train station to get my ticket when the GPS was acting up, and so I was a bit stressed out then. Other than that, my stress and anxiety were low. I had a good time walking on the riverfront, and looking at the restaurants. I would prefer to not use a GPS and just go off of online maps, since it's easier for me. I learned that using a GPS would make you less likely to pay attention to where you are going so you can get there again without the assistance. I like knowing where I am and how to get back, so that's why I prefer a map where I have to pay attention to the roads around me, not just the places where I need to turn. Plus, a GPS is wrong sometimes, or takes you the long route. That's one of the things that annoyed my mom today when they were upset, that the GPS was taking them the long way. But on the way back we found a Starbucks, so that was good for me to have my mocha. Sometimes the long way is good.
Sleep last night was good... I got 12 hours. I wish I could have woken up earlier so we could have done more, but I'm just glad I got to spend some peaceful time with my mom and Tracy. We had a nice time at lunch, eating on the riverfront. It was a bit cold outside, but I had my sweater. I wish we could have taken a boat tour, but it's okay. I had a nice time anyway. I want to see more of the river when I can. We have a pier near where my mom lives and a part, so I'm going to try tomorrow to go and visit it on my walk. That, or I may try and do my long walk. I'm not sure yet. It all depends on how I feel tomorrow. I hope to get in a long walk sometime where I'm here, but I don't know if I will be able to. I like doing it when everyone is gone, so that way I'm not missing out on anything. I just want to make sure Joy is taken care of when I leave.
