Trichotillomania
Trichotillomania, also called trich, is a nervous disorder characterised by the uncontrollable impulse to pull out hair from your body.
Victims of this disorder generally pull hair out from their scalp, but in my case it's the brows, lashes, arms, and legs.
I suffer from OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), which is most likely the cause of my trich because pulling out my hair is a compulsion that I have next to no control over.
From what I've read and personal experience, my hair-pulling is also a coping method for stress. During an exam or an uncomfortable conversation, I'll often find my thumb and index roaming along my eyebrow or lash line, gripping hairs to pull out.

Since I started from the top and worked my way down to the first, I can see a pattern and I'm glad you're using a journal! It helps!
I match on the brows and the legs. I do mine in "distress" situations - and only in front of the bathroom mirror.
And, OCD...I work with the positive on this...what I like to be neat, organized, scheduled, prepared for...and the process.
You're on the right track to making it work for you!
Best wishes!
