Transfer at work
Today I got the bad news that they don't need volunteers in Managed Care anymore. I don't know why... they always seem to need my help when I come in. I hope it's not something I did. It sucks. I was there for about an hour when they told me. I don't know where I'm going to be working at next. I was at the Information Desk today because my boss wasn't there. I don't know where I'm going to be working tomorrow. I should have expected this, since they say that every time you get comfy in a position at work, they move you. I know it's true since I see them move people constantly. I just hope they don't put me in a place where I have to stand a lot or pick up things. I don't want to get hurt. I wonder if they are going to change my hours as well.. I currently work from 1 to 4:30. I don't want to go in much earlier than that, but at the same time if I want to get a job I'm going to have to get used to working earlier hours. I'm thinking if I can go the rest of the month without missing a day I should try and apply. I don't know what's going to be happening between now and then, so it's worth a shot. I know there are many days I don't want to go to work, but I have to suck it up and go. I still want to get back into the working world as soon as possible. I don't want to be stuck on disability forever.
Mood today was okay... I wasn't too happy about the transfer. I didn't get my walk in today (besides walking to work and back) because I fell asleep after work. I had a headache, and needed a nap. I didn't sleep too well last night either. I was up around 6am for no reason. It took me a while to get back to sleep. Food today was good... I was in my calorie range and everything. I'm even drinking a smoothie! I had some bananas and strawberries that needed to be used. Plus, who doesn't love a smoothie? I watched a horror movie with Geo last night, and it went well! No hallucinations and I fell asleep fine. When I was up in the middle of the night, I wasn't scared or thinking about the movie. I was just bored, really. All I wanted to do is go back to sleep. I just hope I have a better night tonight!

sorry about not working in managed care, it stinks and is scary not knowing where you will be. do they know of your disabilities, not standing etc... if not it may be a good idea to tell them. as for working in the \"real\" world, there are many jobs that need later shift employees. kudos on being in calorie range despite everything. what was the movie, i dont usually like scary movies, i get nightmares. by the way, i nap everyday. hugss
Wow you have gotten a lot done early in the morning. Or is this 7/24 journal for monday?
I bet you can go in without missing a day. Keep me informed about that.
Don\'t have to rush to get a permanent job. Get used to doing what you are doing. After you get in everyday for now try again for the next month. see how long you can do it. You then will know how it affects you and know what to do from there.
Good luck with everything. I know if you put your mind to it you can do it.
Bummer on the work thing. Hopefully you will find a place that fits what you are capable of doing physically. Wishing you the best!
