Transfer
Well today was quite the long day. DH and I left the house at 6:45 this morning to get to Towson, MD for our transfer at 9:30. They wanted us there a half hour early, so our actual transfer time was 10a.m. I don't know what we were thinking leaving at that time. We should have left way earlier. There was an accident on the turnpike and 95!! I was so stressed out about getting there on time. My RE called me when we were half way there to wish me good luck and tell me that we have 2 leaders of the pack that are both beautiful blasts, with one already hatching, we have 4 early blasts, and 7 more continuing to divide! We won't have an actual frozen count until tomorrow, but there are at least 4 because we transferred the two "leaders". I felt very excited and calm after his phone call. I can't control the damn traffic so we will get there when we get there. I had to pee SO bad because we didn't stop the whole 3 hrs and then we couldn't find the building when we arrived. Agggh. I was so upset when we got there that I started crying! After I half emptied (since I needed a gd full bladder!) and regrouped I was fine. We ended up getting into the office at 9:55. They took us right back and then we sat there for 20 minutes anyway! My blood pressure was 146/91!! Slightly stressed!
The staff and RE that did my procedure were amazing! When he walked in and asked us how many embryos we were transferring, I told him 2. He said, "Can I ask why, because you have excellent embryos. Are you sure you want twins? And then he laughed. I told him twins are scary, but that my RE and I came up with this plan and we're sticking with it. To be honost his commet was music to my ears!! Finally embryos that actually look great. If this doesn't work then nothing will! He said that as long as I discussed everything with my RE and know the risks involved than that's fine with him. The transfer went smoothly and I was completely calm throughout. My blood pressure after the transfer was 112/70, a bit of a difference.
I think DH was completely freaked out by his twins comment. I could tell that he was kind of like oh shit, what did we get ourselves into. I can't even think about twins right now though. I know there's a chance that none will take or that maybe one will take. Two taking I can't even imagine happening after all of our negative results. I am happy with our decision to transfer two and praying for a miracle. Beta is 9/12. Hello again 2ww!

So super excited for you. Happy to hear your transfer went smoothly. Good luck keeping busy during your 2ww, that might be the hardest part of the fertility journey. Keep us posted. Goid luck I'm keeping my fingers crossed those embryos stick.
Ahhh! I am so excited for you. Reading your journal just made me so happy! Keep us posted on everything and just try and stay busy during the 2ww. I will say a little prayer for you! Xoxo
That definitely sounds like a stressful start to your day, but I'm glad it all worked out in the end! Having to go to Philly for my transfer was stressful; I can't even imagine having to go all the way to Maryland! And wow - it sounds like you're going to end up with quite a bit to freeze! That is such a good sign. You just might end up with twins! It certainly wouldn't be unusual when you're doing IVF... Most importantly, I hope you end up with a very healthy baby (or two)! I think a miracle is right around the corner for you. Try to stay positive during this 2ww. So hoping this is it for you!!! xoxo
Other than the stressful start to the day, I loved reading your journal! I especially liked the 'twins comment'! Good luck to you in your 2ww, snuggle in embies!
Everything is still crossed for you! After all of the negative surprises you have had over the past couple of years, I am sure twins would be a wonderful surprise :) Hang in there for the 2WW!
How exciting! Hope that your beautiful embryos become beautiful and healthy babies! Good luck with your tww. I know that your students will keep you occupied.
