training wheels to the activity we chose to do

i am realizing culture is like training wheels

or something to rely on - that some things

that are habit or something to count on being the same

or something to rely on that is

predictable

and sometimes you need to make bold individual steps.

hm-m-m-m-m. . . i thought that culture was the gauntlet for which i need training wheels to survive, but then, i'm barely housebroken. to my feral senses, culture is as civilized as an alpha dog fight.

either way. . .

It’s a full moon today/tonight maybe it’s calling you to be bold :)

One of my favorite “cultural” memories is at an old job, where I’d grab a granola bar and eat my “cheap lunch” in front of the taxidermied Lions of Tsavo (watch Ghost and the Darkness if you don’t know them) and I would ponder the significance of all animal species, including humans. I’m glad they don’t taxidermy humans…yet. Could you imagine? :-0

Ugh. They sort of do now. I saw recently it’s s trend to preserve the tattooed skin of a loved one who has passed and hang it on their wall. Yikes!

Ewww. I guess there’s also mummification too.

But enough of that. Go live and be bold today, not tomorrow. Or when you’re a mummy.
