Too Risky
That's what the neurologist feels about me going to the funeral. I am just about completely off of the prograf, so my only line of protection is the mestinon. Still having abdomen pain for what its worth, but hopefully that will be better after tomorrow, my last prograf dose.
I feel torn. I want to go, but like I said to Leo, Jo (His sister,) really won't need me now but they may need me in the future when not surrounded by all the family and friends. Of course, my flight won't be paid for then, either. Right now, if we want, someone will pay for our flights.
Yes, the rituximab was the drug mentioned as the "If these don't work" drug for me, so I wasn't totally surprised when I was told that was where we were going.
Extraordinarily tired today. Hopefully just grief. Have to do my Monday night with Esther.

Please dont risk it. I know this must be so hard for you.
You run to everyones side when they need.
Right now Deb, you are in need too.
You dont need to be away from your doc in a strange place where the hopsitals and docs may not know what to do for you in an emergency.
Yes, go later when time has passed, you are better and others have gone.
I think this is wise.
Hugs,
Jeannie
Oh Debbie I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I agree with Jeannie. As much as you want to be supportive at this time of sorrow you need to care for yourself first.
I hope you and your family find peace in the loving memories of your nephew.

I think you are right. It may be hard not going to the funeral but the family will all be there to support his sister. It will be much better for you to visit her when you are in a better place and she is feeling all alone in her grief.
Thinking of you Debbie. I like your plan of going later when they may need your hugs and love when the crowds are gone.
I know you must be nervous about the retuximab...approval, starting new drug, etc.
So hoping this is the magic bullet and gets you back to wellness.
hugs
