too many cartoons
that's not meant to be a harsh title...but maybe just a good description of
what I am thinking about. There are things in my life - reactions to things -
that have stopped me from progressing because I adhered too much to living
in a linearity or a cartoon if you will - in that only if my actions and personhood
was within the parameters of the cartoons going round my head and emotions -
then I would follow through. But as that is an impossibility - I became more about stasis
and even that was a hard won battle.
I'm finding that being ok with my individual journey or path
is a journey in itself - but relating it back to friends and family is something that
is also grounding and foundational and affirming.. What's on my mind,
is that I try my best to be a good person, be true, be responsible and handle things
well - but my reactions and personhood along the path are inevitably flawed a lot but that shouldn't
stop me from carrying through. It could be just 'reframing the issue' as a 'moment
of disappointment' (in myself or whatever) that's needed to cope with it rather than be a game changer
or a game ender. :)
Developing a sense of the spiritual is helping me
and my understanding of spirituality and my own spirituality. I am seeing
that the spiritual people here are flawed just
as anywhere else - but the spirit of the place and what
they stand for and aim for and what they create is a service of life affirmation.
I see the power to affect the world positively is in that focus as well as
along my own individual path.

Hi Mark. Hope you’ve had a good day. I will be honest, as I believe honesty to be helpful in our personal discoveries, that I had a hard time following your train of thought here. We are all trying to do our best and figure out the best paths for each of us in our life journey. Some are really good and successful in it while others struggle immensely without tools or teachers/mentors to lead when we had needed it most. Spiritually minded people are just that - people - and flaws and making mistakes in actions or behaviors is a commonality we all share. It is what we do to move through in healthy measures that matters next time around.
So I think instead of trying to be an earth angel, maybe we can do our best in life by letting god lead as humans become vessels to connect to healthier ways and means and lend a hand in the moments that matter- not so much in the vast horizons of personal perfection.
Does that make sense?
Thanks Nikki!!
