I\'m on my way out to water and beat the heat to it.

I\'m thankful for my \'garden buggy\'

((hugs))

Worked at staining the deck for 3 hours today. It was only in the 90\'s so not as hot as it has been. Oh, it was before noon, that\'s why it was so cool. LOL

Oh my goodness, Linda! Three hours in the 90\'s?! How on earth did you manage that? Did you use cooling gear? 80 degrees is my limit and that has to be in the shade, with some sort of way to cool off, like my hand held mister, spray bottle, neck cooler, etc. I seriously shut down very quickly when I overheat. I do the floppy leg walk, slurred speech, etc. It starts with the veins on the backs of my hands swelling and hurting so bad, then my head pounds, then the rest follows. it\'s 100 here today. We just got back from camping where we enjoyed 50 till 9 am, then the low 80\'s in the sun, but a nice 70-75 in the shade with awesome cool breezes coming off the creek that ran through our campsite. It was heaven! Now we are back to the furnace and even the mister on our deck can\'t keep it cool enough for me to be out there. With all the fires around us, we NEED some rain!!
I\'m still in awe that you spent three hours working on the staining of your deck! You rock!!

I was in the shade, for all the good that did. I didn\'t wear any cooling gear and sat on my bum most of the time. I stumbled back to the house when I had more than enough and took a cold shower. I just didn\'t want my husband to have to tackle this all by himself. He has a cervical cord injury and it\'s not easy for him either. Aren\'t we a pair? LOL

Gentle hugs, Linda

Aw, you are such a good wife:) I tell ya, you need Tom Sawyers friends, lol. That way, the two of you can sit in the shade, in front of a misting fan with a cool drink in your hand :D If wishes were fishes, right?!
