tomorrow i am going to visit a parishioner
tomorrow i am going to visit a man who used to live here
at the monastery - but turned out to need much more care
than we could give him. he is stabilized now and living in an
assisted living community. Grateful - he is finally grounded
and happy. It's the second or third time I will have visited him.
I went to see him - once or twice in the rehab he was in after his
heart attack. It's a good feeling that I am doing this,
I am taking care of my community.
So often when I transition from
activity to activity - the differences that each circumstance presents
usually have me stressed to know how to deal with myself which leads to
intense rumination. But I have noticed this very thing lately -as more of a matter of fact- and I am getting
to know more and more 'how to transition' 'use different skillsets'
and 'not get lost in the new role.' I usually have a hard time dealing with myself
when I am alone - though I really crave that aloneness so much of the time - I suppose anxiety
makes me want to run home to Blue. But again I am getting better and better
at understanding the relationships in front of me and slowly I am getting better
and better at just plain living. I am in my room now - I was struggling to know what to do.
I wanted a friend here, some cookies and tea to just hangout together - but in the meantime
I thought about this adventure to go see John in his community tomorrow. I'm looking
forward to it.
I hope you guys have a good night. Mucho blessings.

I was alone for 3 years after my divorce. Terrified at first but slowly began to look at it as a period of growth which, in retrospect, is exactly what it later became. When my ex moved back in with me, I wasn't too happy about it. I learned how to live with myself but now I am being asked to learn how to live with another. It's a slow process but I am getting there.
I love you too, Mark!
<3 :) have a good night bob!
I hope your visit goes well today, Mark. I know he's going to really appreciate your kindness. Thanks for teaching me something. Greek sounds beautiful, and I couldn't figure out 1-4-3 (and sometimes 7!) on my own. :) Thank you for sharing your love with us. We love you, too!
Wow Susan!! You are great!! <3
1-4-3 was something Mr. Rogers taught me. It’s his favorite number
“I” one letter “love” four letters “you” three letters:)
