together

I’m trying to ground myself. I both want to talk about it but feel verboten to express it as it seems an indulgence of those feelings and some how is dark or is nurturing them.

I was feeling a lot of nerves about the move today and then I spoke to Dad. He so calmed me down and was so sensitive to creating a smooth experience for ‘me and the move.’ Weird how we need stability and we need to help each other have that stability and create it for each other. My family is helping me move to a place where I can have that specific stability that I like. I feel so blessed.

I need to be strong and self responsible but I am glad I am not alone in this. I will pull my weight for sure.

hyper-independence was among my messier psych symptoms when i started psychotherapy. death seemed far less degrading than the humiliation of asking for help. fast forward half a century of study on the diff between humiliation and humility, and i am quite convinced that asking for help when needed or even just desired is part of being strong and self-responsible.

what's so weird about how we ground one another? that's just the way god made us. you can argue with the good lord to your heart's desire. then you can get up and find something productive to do. that ol' geezer sure knows how to handle a filibuster.
