today is Orthodox Easter
today is Orthodox Easter! Happy Easter!
What we say to each other is "Xristos Anesti!" (Chris is risen)
and then we reply "Alithos Anesti!" (Indeed he is risen)
It's a special day. Perhaps the most special in the calendar.
We will get together, have a big meal - and it feels so special
because we are not getting together to exchange gifts but we
are acknowledging something spiritual, unseen and intangible.
I feel lucky.
I woke up to some beautiful texts and emails this morning...
and yes I woke up to some badgering thoughts but more so
the gratitude and riches of family and friends came to the forefront.
Again I feel lucky.
I have been trying to make sense of those badgering thoughts
but I think I'll focus on the spiritual specialness of the day
and hold on to the lovely connections with you guys.
It feels like a chance at a new start to the year!
Perhaps a new perspective!
Sending peace and good vibes for a good day and week ahead!!
Mark

Xristos Anesti, Markus Questionarius. The spiritual nature of the day is a great focus every day. Those badgering thoughts will still be there after your appreciating is done. First things first.
