today

I just came from meeting an old college friend at the Hammer Museum.

He's a recovering addict. We were never that close - but we have kept in touch here and there.

Yesterday I thought about the idea that I feel like I have come to know the limits of strength that I have, but I think it's important to live anyhow. It's a positive thought.

Today V was telling me the story of his life, his achievements and his sense of shortcoming. His 'work' is on himself and we shared. I voiced a little bit of my own wisdom - but the conversation was mostly of him.

Even though he talked a lot, I did voice my own life vantage

and I kind of feel now, afterwards, assertive and not about 'giving up the ghost' because I have weaknesses in so many ways. I won't deny myself happiness.

It was an ok visit - but I feel glad I went.

I hope your days are going well!!
