Today
Today could not have gone better. My poor boy suffered immensely as they weaned him off the sedation before removing the ventiltion tube but remove it they did. After a couple of hours he could talk, hoarsely. He had no idea where he was or why, and claims no mmory of taking the pills. He also stated he wants to quit drinking. By suppertime he even had a small bowl of broth for supper.
We have a hard road, but as long as we are still together we will be fine. I will be fine, I want to live and I haven't felt o strongly about it since I lost Cassi. I want to live, with him.

I find myself checking periodically through the day hoping that you are feeling ALL the love that is coming your way. I can sense that you are and so is Steve. With you on this road back to yourselves and one another.

Hopefully the hospital's social worker can direct you and Steve to some good and supportive aftercare. So relieved your husband is going to be ok! How frightened you must have been! Sending you both lots of love, Linda
