To yard sail or not to yard sail, that is the ?????

I'm debating in between sneezes.......yesterday I saw a sign for a neighborhood yard sale.  Want to go, love to yard sail.............just me, my bargaining skills and their unwanted stuff.......that starts to look good to them until it's time to pack it all up.......LOL.  It's in my blood.......Momma took me to estate sales and farm auctions.......then in Cali went "junk picking" and discovered some amazing flea markets......Texas......we used to drive to more affluent neighborhoods and make out like bandits at their yard sales.  Not to mention the crazy sales at the apparel mart.....the downtown mfg district where I once bought insanely beautiful leather purses for every female I knew for $3 a piece.  Soft blues, vibrant purples.......bright greens, buttery yellow........I used to be such a purse/shoeaholic.
I have used the same black leather bag now for ??????  Guessing 7 or 8 years.  Put on a sandal with a 1.5 inch wedge yesterday and felt UNSAFE.  Too high, (scawy)  oh no, flip flop time. I have to laugh, yesterday as I exited Home Depot, this guy stopped and said, "You look just like a mother-in-law I once had."
What is the appropriate social response to that??????  I laughed and said I didn't know if I should offer him condolences or a hug........!  I had some fall flowers in my buggy and started to hand him a pot of yellow blooms.........maybe he has emotional scars poor darling.  He was cracking up, I gotta tell you I love these pretty yellow flowers.   They were $2.97 per pot, so I went a little crazy and got 4.  Put them in a circle around the patio umbrella.....they look so happy on the table.  They are honey catchers for sure......draw in the bees.   I also picked up an aloe plant and two small ivy plants.  Last night around 9:30.....in my pj's I played in the dirt on the patio.  Transferred the new plants into my beloved bright red ceramic pot.  Added some fresh dark soil and beamed like a happy 7 year old.  Dirt is good for the soul.
I looked at the pumpkins......but I couldn't decide if I did or did not want one.  What a goof.  I used to paint them as I am no good at carving them.  Pirate and witch and other faces.......sort of cartoonish.....scary but funny.  Semi crafty sort of girl, but not all in crafty.  My sister Donna has a dedicated craft ROOM.  So I think that leaves me at the amateur status.........she went PRO a long time ago.
What else?  OHHHHHHH yeah, my neighbors are hosting a wedding rehearsal dinner at their home tonight.  Bob came over to warn me......their son Ben is getting married this week-end.  Meanwhile Bruce was here putting yard drugs on the flowers and stuff.........and we're trying grass seed AGAIN, but this time we are fortifying it with super duper FERTILIZER.  Cross your fingers for that bald patch.....I have high hopes STILL.  SO Bob wanted to alert me that there will be lots of folks coming, music and celebrating going on next door tonight.  I am so happy for them.......a wedding is a time of such happiness.  They have put up a big tent in their front yard and lots of tables everywhere......lots of party prep happening today.  BUSY, busy........
When I woke up my eyes felt like tiny chunks of dried up hard gritty marbles.  It hurt too much to open my eyes, so I listened to the tv for about a half hour and then eased my face into the warm washcloth.  There are times when I don't know what to say or think about Sjogren's Syndrome.  It is not friendly, well mannered or kind and yet it seems to be here to stay.  The rashes going on earlier in the week have eased up......thank you GOD.  I thought I was gonna go crazy, I was so itchy and les miserable for a few days.............I tried to find the exit zipper on my body.....there doesn't seem to be one.  The topical creams help, they do, it's just ENOUGH ALREADY.  The conditions rotate and compete........too many olympic events happening simultaneously at once.
"Deo Volente" ......"God willing" I will keep leaning in and try not to mind so much.  Try to be a peace seeker and a joy tender.
Darling Annie is curled up on a blanket on the chair in the soft sunshine.  Rio.......is up to no good......just heard the small trash can in the bedroom tip over AGAIN.  Rio is a firm believer that I exercise, he knocks things over and then I have to bend and wrangle them back in place. Rio is starting to look like a cat......but he is still all kitten.  xoxoxoxlovethem
dreamt I got a turtle.........random dreams are so weird. the day before I dreamt that I invented two cocktails, one with shaved ice and the other with ice cream and it netted me an insane amount of money somehow........didn't want to wake up because I was trying to identify the secret ingredients so I could remember how to make them AWAKE and really get rich.  i know, weird, always had vivid offbeat dreams.
So what to do...........it's 72 degrees outside, clear blue skies........this day looks delicious.  I bet I could go to a house or two and do some yard sailing........wish you were here to go with me.  It's always more fun to SAIL with someone.......and secretly I hope to find a treasure, a really old book or an antique camera or ???????  Friday hugs......I am also SO HAPPY that DS has been able to fix the e-mail notifications feature.  WOW, super extra big WoW.............if you're feelin' puny today please lean into something soft and cushy.......put your feet up, wear something loose and let it be today.  Reeeee Lax and be cool ok?  I'm going to see if I can put on going out clothes, if that works then I may actually go exploring in yard sail country.
P.S. I bought a tank of gas yesterday and thought my geezermobile is pregnant........why?  It is definitely eating for two.......maybe more.  Cannot believe how much it cost to fill up an empty tank. I know right?!?!  images of little baby geezermobiles dancing in my silly head.........will it be a single birth, twins or a litter of matchbox cars?  vroom vroom......  i know, i need more adult conversation, when you're right, you're right.........love, sparrow

Yeah, if you don\'t get to go yard sailing then perhaps you can go party crashing tonight.

Do you have a two barrel or 4 barrel carb on your geezer? That will help to tell you how many little mobiles she is having.

Look like you are not the only one who needs some adult involvement these days. As for me, I\'m going to stay in my homebound clothes & watch baseball & whatever else appeals to me.

Hi Ruthie! Wow 9:30 at night playing in the dirt! You are a kid at heart. Glad you are feeling better today. Hope you find some goodies at the yard sales. I need to have a yard sale & get rid of all the clothes I don\'t wear anymore. My twin sis & niece Bridget are coming down for 10 days in December. I told Bridget to come with a lite suitcase. She always loved going through my closet. I\'m so happy they are coming! My sis texted me with the dates. I\'m praying I will have good days with this awful fatigue.
Today not soooo good! Did not fall asleep until 3:30 this morning. Then woke up at 7:00A.M. The Sjogren\'s is a bear! I itch & sting all over. Even behind my ears the skin is peeling. When back to bed at 11:00-1:00 but did not sleep. Got those head tremors inside going crazy. Nerve endings having their happy dance, but NOT mine. Think I\'m go take a shower. This is all the writing I can muster up with my dry eyes. Angel hugs my over the fence friend. Love ya xo

I enjoyed reading your journal! I thought it so funny when you said you tried to find the exit zipper on your body. Maybe you will in your dreams. I too have weird detailed dreams and they are so fun. I would love to go with you to the yard sails. I love \'em too!
