To the dentist I go
Once again, I had appointments screwed up. Thank goodness the dentist calls the day before. How have I gotten so bad on schedules? Daughter thinks that someone needs to read for me. LOL.
I went to my family dentist for my cleaning, armed with my pamphlet for Myasthenia dental care. Of course, he found a cavity and we have tentatively scheduled work for next month, but he said I must cancel if I am not better or receiving treatment. He is going to research more about the anesthetics and ask at his dental convention this weekend.
Rest of day will be eBay work and R and R until Grayson gets here. His mommy leaves for Las Vegas today and his daddy works until 9p. I will have him most of time until Friday, so my time will be spent caring for him and resting. He is starting to crawl, so he's going in the pack and play a lot.
So now you know why I was so adamant about not going to the hospital this last weekend. I am needed to babysit this week. It was always my last straw in my mind's argument. I could even agree to a respirator but who will watch Grayson?
Probably not my smartest move, but I can give up "my schedule" in parts. Chief babysitter role is going to be a tough one to give up. Church basement lady has been put on leave. Non profit board member will be retiring. I'm not ready for more yet.

I can\'t remember if you were active when we were posting about dental procedures, but mine with just nitrous went smoothly. I had to have a filling replaced that was deep. I left without numbness or pain. I took my hubby to drive me home, but would probably have even been able to do that, but it is not a good idea since your judgement is sometimes impaired (as in should I do this at all). It was nice to leave the dentist office without leaving claw marks on the arms of the chair. I am not the most relaxed of dental patients!

So proud of you! It\'s hard to let go but necessary thing to put your health first. (I then got a little depressed when I found out that life went on without me there---does that make sense?) Now grand-babies are different, I agree that would be a hard one).
I too went to the dentist today for my cleaning. They found a little cavity on the side of a molar. I need to read and print off the pamphlet. Is it on the MGFA site?

I remember a story told during my medical school days of a small town physician who literally worked himself to death. Then everyone just drove a little farther down the road and the health of the community remained much the same. Sadly, and happily, it is true that we are not the most important people in the world, but it is nice when our grandchildren think so. b.
