To My Friends

As bad as I have to make this decision, with what is going on in my life right now I have decided the retreat is the last place I need to be...For one thing I never know if i am going to wake up with horrible pain and spend the day in bed or 2 days or what and not test results have shown what it is yet...
Second, some of you know my number 3 son is going through divorce and needs me home...He calls me constantly to talk and I think helping him is a bit more important than doing something for myself.
I shall miss meeting each one of you...Wishing you all a happy journey as you go to the retreat...may you find great friendship and healing and peace.
Have fun with each other.

Sandi, I just got back from the retreat and am catching up, and I read this. I am so sorry that one of our own members could have been so negative to you. The decision you made was best for you and your family and that\'s what counts--you really don\'t owe any of us explanations. And I truly fail to see the connection between your decision and being a good or bad Christian. They are not even related. Whoever told you that was just talking to talk--trying to get you upset.

I did want to let you know, however, that on Sat night at the retreat we had a candlelighting ceremony for our kids, and since they\'d planned on you being there, there was a candle and star with Kenny\'s name on it, so I lit it for him, and somebody else helped. Can\'t remember who it was who helped me get the automatic candle lighter to work--it wouldn\'t turn on. So you and Kenny weren\'t forgotten at the retreat!

I hope you will soon be feeling better, Love Cherie

ps--I guess the \"good Chistian\" comment came from your next journal, but I really didn\'t think it made much sense there, either.
