To much to soon

I thought it would be a good day to get in some groceries.  The weather is beautiful today and we expect rain and colder days soon.  So, I take the afternoon for some fun shopping, banking and then groceries.  I was in no hurry so I went down all the aisles of the not so super store and restocked a few things I have been forgetting to buy.  Now I rode the little cart and figured it would be ok but lo and behold when I get up, I couldn't.  My leg was bent and determined to stay that way.  It took a good ten minutes of work to get it straight enough to stand up long enough to ge inside my car.
The doctor visit went ok.  He was called out on an emergency and his assistant saw me.  I really like her.  She said he will do a similar operation on my other knee if I feel it will give me a little more time to decide on knee replacement.  I really need to build up my legs and lose about 25 pounds before I decide to do it.  I see him  again in 6 weeks.  Maybe I can make some progress.

ah soapy.......sorry that your leg locked up on you! hard to manage it all, we need to restock, get a little fresh air, exercise.........when i first get up out of the cart i can\'t walk or straighten very well........my doc told me it\'s severe arthritis meets the vibration of the little cart. how rude...............again sorry you got stuck! sometimes i get stuck in my power chair in my very own living room and sit there waiting for things to thaw so i can move........

you\'re still on my amazing chart.....out there shopping already and got a really good report from the doc...........give the procedure thought and prayer.......if you have it done how long until they recommend the knee replacement? is this just on the one knee? sorry i get confused........take it nice and steady.............it takes time! big hugs!

I have a tendency to rush things along. Now, I can sit and wait until I can do it again. I am afraid of getting permantly dependent. When you have always been the one depended on the change is hard to accept.
