To Court To Court To Lose My Shirt

This Friday I am scheduled to go to court.  My lawyers have told me to expect the following to happen:  the court will compel me to deposit the balance of the life insurance money into a court held escrow account.  This is to prevent me from spending it, as long as it is under litigation.   This is very bad - because I am unemployed and have no other savings other than that...so, I have no idea how I am going to pay my bills and protect my credit, which to date has been excellent (I have a fico score of 740).    Once my credit goes down the tubes, so does my whole future.   SHIT.

Rachel, can you qualify for Unemployment Benefits? Granted you usually don\'t get much, it does help. Good Luck! laurabp

I do qualify for UEI, but I was at first denied and that was yet ANOTHER fight I had to fight. I won but now my funds are tied up in administrative snafu\'s. It is quite amazing how everything that can go wrong for me this year, HAS gone wrong. If it weren\'t so tragic, it might actually be funny! UEI will not make a dent in my needs though. It maxes out at $405 per week. My mortgage payments alone are 3k per month. And I cannot just let them slide, if I am trying to save my credit rating...
